2009 Conservation Poster Contest

The topic of this year's contest was "Dig It! The Secrets of Soil." Students in 2nd – 12th grades in Bergen County focused on the importance of soil in our everyday life.

The District awarded $50.00 to the winner in each category (Grades 2-3, 4-6, 7-9, and 10-12).

Lillian Hong is a 1st place winner at the 2009 State Level New Jersey Department of Agriculture-State Soil Conservation Committee Competition

The Bergen County Soil Conservation District congratulates Lillian Hong for achieving first place honors in the Grades 4-6 category at the State Level Competition sponsored by the NJ Department of Agriculture-State Soil Conservation Committee.  Lillian’s poster will go on to compete among the Nation’s best posters at the National Association of Conservation Districts contest in Orlando, Florida.
